Rapid Imaging and Mapping System (RIMS) is a set of instrumentation systems used for production imaging services (imaging) objects on the surface of the earth, then the imagery can be processed to produce geo-information (mapping).

 

RIMS is yielded from the research in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Laboratory in the Department of Geodesy - GMU, in order to build the cost-effectiveness mapping system and meet the demand on the high resolution earth imagery (photographs) of objects on earth.

 

Start with research in 2007, today in operation phase and this system is field proven. Proven at many kind of fields: coastal area, mountain, forest, follow river bank, mining area, oil and gas field, plantation, city center, post disaster area, power plant, vital objects, etc.
